Iida Zelenski
Iida Zelenski started her violin studies at age of 8 with Mariiana Dikanarova in Ylivieska, Finland. Zelenski is a graduate of Master’s degree of Piteå Music School, Luleå University, Sweden and Oulu University of applied sciences, Finland. Zelenski studied also in Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. She has participated in many international master classes with professors Yair Kless, Mi-kyung Lee and Mihaela Martin among others.
Zelenski has a versatile career as a violinist; she has worked as orchestra violinist in Oulu Sinfonia and Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra, as a violin teacher in Oulu and surrounding areas and as a violinist in music theatre productions of Oulu Theatre. Zelenski has held the position of leader 2nd violin in The Sea Lapland String Quartet and Kemi City Orchestra from 2019. During 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 she held the position of Concertmaster-Lecturer of The Sea Lapland String Quartet and Kemi City Orchestra, including work as a teacher in Sea Lapland Music Institute. Zelenski is also member of Oulu Baroque Orchestra as a baroque violinist. Versatile work as a musician is important to her; collaborating with contemporary composers as well as finding the full sound spectrum in early music performances.
