Juhana Inkinen

In 2012 violinist Juhana Inkinen became a Master of Music from the Sibelius Academy with the highest marks in violin playing. He has complemented his studies in the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Wien in 2006-2007 and the Chicago College of Performing Arts in 2010. During his studies and career important teachers and mentors for him have been Robert Chen, Pavel Vernikov, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Gerhard Schultz and John Storgårds.

Since 2012 Inkinen has pursued an active career as a chamber and orchestra musician in Finland and abroad. As a freelance musician Inkinen has played several concerts in professional Finnish orchestras including Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Lahti Symphony Orchestra, Tampere Philharmonic, Lapland Chamber Orchestra and Oulu Symphony.

In 2012 Inkinen was chosen to become a member of the Fundação Orquestra Estúdio based in the European Capital of Culture 2012 (Guimarães) in Portugal. During the year he played several concerts as a leader & chamber musician in Northern Portgual. The project was a big success in Portuguese music life and it received huge enthusiasm both in the audience and media.

Currently Inkinen is working in Finnish Lapland playing as the leader of the Sea Lapland String Quartet, the concertmaster of the Kemi City Orchestra and being a lecturer at the Sea Lapland Music Institute.
